Chocolate madness

Last month, my wife and I attended (for the third or fourth time), the Chocolate Madness fundraiser held by NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts. For a dessert lover who happens to be pro-choice, this event is a dream come true. Many of the best restaurants and bakeries from the Boston area provide samples of their chocolate confections buffet-style around a large room with live jazz music being played. For the modest ticket price (a.k.a., donation), the selection is well worth it. Some of my favorites from this year included a chocolate flan with coconut whipped cream, a chocolate praline mousse, some super-creamy caramel ice cream, and some excellent brownies.
